The Power of Conscious Breathing

Conscious breathing involves being aware of your breath and intentionally controlling its rhythm and depth. This practice has been utilized for centuries in various cultures to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve mental clarity.

Basic Breathing Exercises

Here are two simple breathing exercises to get you started:

1. Belly Breathing

Find a comfortable seated position. Place one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen. Inhale deeply through your nose, allowing your abdomen to rise as you fill your lungs with air. Exhale slowly through your mouth, feeling your abdomen fall. Repeat for several breaths.

2. 4-7-8 Technique

Sit or lie down in a relaxed position. Inhale quietly through your nose for a count of 4. Hold your breath for a count of 7. Exhale audibly through your mouth for a count of 8. Repeat this cycle at least 3 times.
